The vibe downtown last Friday was so great, we were not sure if it was the warm weather, the people or all the interesting events taking place but all in all, it was a fantastic First Friday.

We started the night off by stopping by Comme Moi Boutique.  They are a fairly new women's clothing store so we went to check out their fashion as well as the bridal designer they were featuring.  The fashion was edgy and unique and we were impressed by the reasonable prices.  The store is small and does not carry tons of the same pieces so you know you will not see everyone wearing your new favourite top.

Next we hit the Judith & Norman ALIX Art Gallery where we viewed the Petrolia Exhibition and The Juried Art Show.
For anyone who has not been to our new art gallery yet, we would encourage you to check it out, we feel pretty lucky to have this culture available to us at no cost!

Then we got to experience The Front Door a brand new downtown restaurant that opened Friday night.  Everyone downtown has been waiting for this new restaurant to open with anticipation as we followed the Facebook updates all summer.  We had to wait a little while for a table but it was well worth it to enjoy some craft beer and complimentary fish and chips, in the beautiful fresh and airy atmosphere.

I think the most exciting part of the night was having the opportunity to celebrate the success of one of our clients Kate Gardner, StandPoint Photography at her art show.  It was great to see her artwork displayed in a creative way and how it all worked together to tell a story.

The night ended at Limbo Lounge with some great friends, a killer DJ and some drinks.  If you live in, or are visiting the Sarnia area on the first Friday of any month, make sure you get downtown and check out all the talent, creativity and businesses that we have in our downtown core.  It is always inviting and you are bound to run into someone you know.
